As of recently, punk has been omnipresent in Sweden’s music scene. Among many young bands stands quintet Westkust, who alter the traditionally heavy rhythms of punk rock by incorporating shoegaze accents (cue London, late 1980s). Pop vocals also help create a unique sound.
